I think I'm screwed because when I was a young lass, I read much more than I talked to people, if that makes sense.

Also, I tend to be pretty specific about what word I use to describe something. So, for instance, "dating" connotes something different than "seeing each other". It has come to my attention that I may be a semantic freak.

1. A body of water, smaller than a river, contained within relatively narrow banks?

lunchbox

4. The thing that you cook bacon and eggs in?
frying pan, skillet

5. The piece of furniture that seats three people?
couch, futon, sofa, bed

6. The device on the outside of the house that carries rain off the roof?

9. A flat, round breakfast food served with syrup?

17. How do you eat your pizza?

Added question, specifically for Midwesterners -

21. The children's game where everyone sits in a circle, one child goes around patting everyone's head saying, "duck, duck...", and then another child gets up and chases the first child, and the first child has to get to the vacated spot before the chaser catches them?
duck, duck, GOOSE.

What woulkd you call it besides, "duck, duck, GOOSE"?

So, for instance, "dating" connotes something different than "seeing each other".

But it very definitely does! Dating means boyfriend/girlfriend or on your way there, "seeing each other" usually means hanging out + sex in a commitment-free kinda way. or at least, that's how I'd define them.

Just because y'all need 82 different ways to say stuff, and then you get upset when we don't have the cliff notes of your definitions, ain't no reason to get all up in our faces.

Not sure why i wrote that in the third person.
