Lovely, lovely.

In a moment of Buffista synchronicity, I'm currently re-reading around Neuromancer. I read through Burning Chrome yesterday, and today I'm working on Mona Lisa Smile. I'm remembering how much I liked the world-building and the way the characters lived and moved inside that world. Molly's insets always worried me, but I loved the detail about her tear ducts routed into her mouth, so she spat when she cried.

A few small details are anachronistic (like sky the color of dead tv...now that might mean bright blue instead of snowy) but so much is absolutely still relevant. I find it interesting that Gibson's later writing and interest fell so much closer to home. Perhaps he's waiting on us to catch up to him with our technology.
