I had plantar problems that necissitated custom fit orthotics. So damned expensive.

But what really worked to break up the crap and stop the pain was deep tissue massage in the form of rolling a golfball with the bottom of my foot for 15 minutes, 5 times a day. Apply pressure right near the arch and go for it.

Also whenever I brushed my teeth or washed my face, I used a slant board to lengthen the achilles which was pulling on the plantar.

Both of those things worked better than orthotics.
