I am wildly behind on all of my message boards, so I hope someone will let me know if any of the places catch fire or summat.

I got a gig assistant directing Flaming Guns Of The Purple Sage in the fall. Yay! I've been wanting to work with the director forever, so this is a great opportunity.

My new jobs is great. Mellow people, interesting work, it's all good. The only drawbacks are the lack of windows in our area, but I can deal with that. We're not that high off the ground, so I can be outside in a matter of seconds. Well, okay, and my monitor faces a main trafficway, but this is why privacy screens were invented. My old job called me FIVE TIMES yesterday to ask about various things. FIVE. And they emailed twice today! Sheesh. Here's hoping it was just panic.

Um, okay, I think that's all. Looking forward to mearagrrl's visit this weekend, and my birthday the weekend after that. Hope to get caught up sometime.....

I think billytea has secured a date. Fay has been dating. Cashmere's pregnant, but you probably knew that. Connie has to move, because her asshat landlord is an asshat. "The Inside" will not (probably not, pretty near definitely not) get picked up for any more episodes past the 13, and those may not all air.

Lily, Ellie, Emma, Annabel, Frannie, Isaac, Casper, and of course O, are too cute for human eyes. It's unseasonably hot. It's unseasonably cold. It's unseasonably rainy (my fault--tropical storm -- that is Tropical Depression: Cindy). It's unseasonably dry. People hate their jobs. People need jobs. People hate their apartments. People's dogs are sick, as are their cats.

We. Miss. You.

If I've inferred correctly from a random lj post or two, it seems that there's a game called Chapeau. I decide to tent my hands over my head (like a chapeau). Of the group that is present, the last one to do so is a rotten egg. The ^ is the graphic representation of the hand tenting, since you can't actually see me (right?).

I think someone learned of the game, and someone else didn't buy that it was an actual game. There were explanations given and proofs offered, the ^ was chosen as the symbol. Goofiness and hijinx ensued, as they often do chez b.org.
