Yes, he did.

Obama went there, and it was perfect.

Please, please, please let this election go blue, let Obama and his family stay safe, and let this country get the fuck out of the bloody morass it's been in. Please.

I have loved watching CJ get really engaged in this election and all his questions. I can't wait to show this to him. I think I'm gonna let him stay up late, if he wants to, next Tuesday to watch the returns...

I don't know that there is enough whiskey in the world for next Tuesday, to be honest.

That is why I'm trying to approach this as an educational experience for him - trying to provide a little distance from the reality.

The election is over. He's won. It's very likely that he'll have "won" (193 EVs to go with the lock he has in the western states for 77 EVs) by 9 pm Eastern.

Knocking so much wood, because a) I'm not ruling out the possibility of Repub shenanigans and b) there are still racist wingnuts who might try to take him out before next Tuesday.

I won't really believe it until January 20, to be honest.

Yeah, me too.

I'm less worried about the actions of radicals than I am about Republican voting shenanigans. However, I'm less worried about those shenanigans than I am about Democrat voters assuming the election is a done deal. It's not only a dangerous attitude when we don't know how many votes are being undermined by chicanery, it also sends the message to late voters that they don't really need to bother and that's reckless on a national and local level.

So, let's all avoid the "election is over" comments until Wednesday the 5th.

It's unstealable, and every President has wingnuts trying to kill them.

We're fine.

oh, SNAP!

I know, right? So awesome.

Can't get sound at this internet kiosk, but loved what I saw. So true.

Nearly everywhere I've travelled, people ask my opinion about the election. I tell them I'm not willing to lay money on anything. It looks possible, looks good, but I'm not getting off tenterhooks 'til the votes are all counted.

I voted before I buggered off to Europe, BTW.
