FRINGE!! (Shameless whoring post)

It's that time of year again! That's right, it's Fringe Festival!

I am directing a little gem of a play called MacBlank, and here's the info:

It's 2004, and MacBeth is still quite peeved about that beheading. His vengeful plan to kill the last living MacDuff (an anxious American named Charlie) goes terribly awry.

Just fascinating.

Well, other than feelings of alienation and apparently putting my foot in my mouth, life's pretty good.

The Knee: PT is lovely, as always. She stretched me out a bit and taped my knees so that the patella will actually stay in the groove that is so helpfully provided for it. There were a couple stern words about watching my tendency to turn out when running, some distinctly uncomfortable stretches, and a few minutes of ultrasound therapy. The tape stays on until Friday, when I see her again and she can assess progress & my running. She says that I can run tonight, if I wish. I'll see. I'm a bit nervous, frankly.

The Knee & Drugs: Doc put me back on Bextra, which is primarily used for arthritis, but occasionally used for period-related cramps. 10mg per day for two weeks or so. Apparently, one of the reported (less than 2% in trials) side effects is tinnitis. How happy am I that I am in that minority? Very happy. Not. Hope it goes away after a few days....

The Show: Will be good. I'm just hoping for good audiences at this point.

The Wedding: Chugging right along. I need to get the check to the caterer, and my first fitting is on Thursday. The seamstress leaves on Sunday for two weeks. I have a feeling the dress won't be showing up until Wednesday before. Oh, well. Need to arrange site visits & rent chairs.
