ION, I'm looking at hairstyles in preparation for my haircut today. This one is a variation of my default, and since I've amped up the color wackiness, I'll probably stick close to it. However, I love the idea of having the time to do this every morning. It's just damn cool.

Frankly, I've been toying with the idea of having her cut it to an inch all over except for the bang area - sort of a variation on a locally-popular babydyke haircut. She'll probably argue me out of that one, though. Too much.

My journal is called l'esprit d'escalier because I'm pretentious like that. No, seriously, it translates to "the spirit of the stairs", meaning the moment when you're leaving a party and you think of all the clever and witty things you could have said 5 minutes ago. That's my entire life.

My subtitle is mors certa, vita incerta because I like being reminded that life is uncertain and death is certain, so live it up while you can.

My friends page is called We few, we happy few because it's from one of my favorite speeches of all time. Cheesy, yes. Cliched, yes. But it's Shakespeare and it calls back to rugby (it's a very popular saying on the pitch), so it reminds me of some of the best things in my life.

My username is e_juliana because I am a lazy forgetful person, and I need a username that's awfully close to my real name.

Things are often much easier when you allow your body to talk more than your mouth. I truly believe we take our bodies and the messages they send us dreadfully for granted. Your body can tell you all sorts of things. There are the standard functions, the need to eat, drink, sleep, urinate and defecate. Then there are the more subtle nuances, the tightening of the muscles when anxious or afraid, the pounding headaches when stressed, the sheen of perspiration on your brow when anticipatory.
