Actual, for real update. Maybe.

Had rehearsal Wednesday night. First hour of it for me was dialect work. Oy. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but the character that I've been so worried about? Will be Russian. Which means I need a Russian accent. So, to recap: first time on stage in 8 years, first time ever playing in the round, first time ever working with a dialect/accent (actually, three, since three of the six characters have more than one line). I'm on the high dive board, but I think a cannonball is a little beyond me at this point. At least until I get all of my blocking. Yes.
I now have a giant bandage on my knee. Why, you ask? Because after a winter wherein I managed to slip and fall exactly once (a pretty good record for someone who's out running on the ice and snow an average of twice a week), I wiped out spectacularly the first day that everything starts melting. And since it was melting, there was no snow to cushion the hit. There is damage from mid-shin to my knee, with a deep deep scrape on my knee. Hence, bandage. My biggest problem with the bandage? It is pink. Not tan, not clear, pink. It's not a fun pink either, but the pink that is clearly supposed to blend in with the skin. That pink. It is like unto the Pepto-Bismol of fabric bandages. I don't know what melanin-challenged person picked out this color, but eeesh. It is pinker than the scraped skin right next to it. msbelle would be horrified by the pinkness. I want black bandages. Failing that, I want clear or white bandages. Screw this trying to blend in thing. It only works on people with a certain skin tone, and you can tell they're wearing one anyway.
Driving Miss Daisy in St. Cloud tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday day. Then, next Friday & Saturday. We - correction: I - found out about the extension two hours before departure yesterday. Two bloody hours. Our tech & our dresser? Had no idea. The actors? Had no idea. The director? Had no idea. I had to spread the word. Not my job. Grump. The lack of communication? Astounding.
At least I'll get paid for next week. This is of the good. Still, I was looking forward to being done with the drive.
As expected, I did not get the Admin 3 position in the office. I'm disappointed, but unsurprised. Hoever, my Big Boss now knows that I'm under-utilized, so something may happen in that area. We'll see.
Right. I'll do some actual work in the 20 minutes I have left.
