Another Opening, Another Show
Mar. 14th, 2003 02:49 pmIt's silly to be so damn nervous, but I am. I'm so nervous that I totally forgot that I shouldn't eat ice cream and had a Buster Bar. What? They were free! No consolation to my stomach, of course, but hey. The show will be great. I've got two of the best comedic actors in this town. It's all good.
I would have loved it if once, just once, paint wasn't drying on the set opening night. But it will be. S'okay. Right? I actually really like the bar as it is, but it was painted for a much bigger house and the paint job doesn't read that well in a 100-seat black box. So, it gets painted. Very soon.
This show has been wonderful for my nerves. I was able to be relaxed and mellow through the entire process. Not anymore. Monday, we start rehearsals for Jeffrey, and while I have one of the best casts ever, I'll have to be much more on the ball. Ai yi yi.....
