I have a burning (burning! I tell you) desire to hear MCR do a balls-out cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah".

Would it not be awesome? I think it would be awesome.

You know what I love about life lately? Hm? You're curious now, I know it. What I love about life now is that every time I turn around someone I like is talking about MCR or FOB with a totally straight face. It's a DELIGHT. The problem w/ them covering this song (which I am FOR) is that Gerard can't sing. Can Frankie sing better?

I don't know that Frankie can sing better - I haven't heard any Pencey's Prep stuff.

But I would find it HILARIOUS. I mean, I have a deep love and respect for Cohen and for the song, but I would still just want to smish Gee's cheeks as he was earnesting all over the place.

Also, you realize you are partly to blame for me talking about this shit with a straight face, do you not?

Yeah, I get that a lot, MCR should cut me a check. I do really love them, unashamedly, though. I agree, Gerard would sing is all MAD and bitter and "fuck you, bitch!" instead of wistful and tormented, it could be a thing of glory.
