So, Z & I desperately need to catch up on our movie-watching before Oscar night. Here is our To See list in alphabetical order:
The Aviator
Finding Neverland
Hotel Rwanda
The Incredibles
Million Dollar Baby
The Motorcycle Diaries
Ray
Sideways
All of these are still playing somewhere within 15 miles of us. Motorcycle Diaries is probably our first one, since that will be the first to go unavailable (it's only at the dollar theater now).
Out of the rest of the movies listed, which ones should we absolutely see? We'll probably only be able to fit 2 more in, maybe 3. (We could Netflix Ray if we had to.) Thoughts?

Date: 2005-02-15 08:58 pm (UTC)I'm partial to Million Dollar Baby myself and highly recommend seeing it before it gets any more press of any kind. For that reason alone, I'd see it asap. Umm, don't read what press there is AND take my opinion with a grain of salt. Just let the movie happen, you know? You might hate it.
Sideways has some spectacular Calif. scenary that's fab on the big screen, but most of the movie is tighter shots. Neverland has some pretty spectacular scenary. You wouldn't miss anything critical to the story in either of them if you see it in pan-and-scan or even wide screen on a small tv, but hey, fab scenery = good, in my book, anyway.
I haven't seen Motorcycle or Ray, so can't speak to them, but because Motorcycle is a road/travel movie, I'm going to be looking for it on big screen myself.
