I had caught the awesome print of a Haida or Tlingit raven on the wall of the professor's office in "Tall Tales", but then I got so caught up in LAUGHING MY ASS OFF that I forgot about it.
Someone stop me before I go through all of the screencaps looking for Coyote & Ananse & Monkey &...

kroki_refur's "Tall Tales" picspam is a thing of hilarious beauty. Oh, show.

Date: 2007-02-19 08:19 pm (UTC)The bracelet is signed "EJT", but I've not been able to find a silversmith or jeweler online with those initials.
All by way of saying, "Yay! A place to look up Haida-Tlingit-Aleiut-other NW native symbols!"
By way of thanks, John says howdy.

Date: 2007-02-19 08:26 pm (UTC)I'd love to see a shot of the bracelet. Your description of the complexity makes me think it's Tlingit design. I think the raven in "Tall Tales" is Haida.
Of course, I could also be talking out of my ass. BUT! If you took a couple good shots the bracelet and asked some allgery owners in BC or AK, I'm sure you could get some answers.
Also! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Date: 2007-02-19 09:10 pm (UTC)Also? I tried to take some pics of the bracelet, but all I get is flare--it's very shiny. I need to try from different angles and distances. When I get them done, I'll post 'em.
